Dressing Hongkong -- Desi Style.

This Fall/Winter 2012, Hong Kong fashion week witnessed a dose of Vibrant India, as seven exceptional home grown talent showcased their signature lines. Each collection exudes an unique modernity of heritage workmanship,which would attract buyers across boundaries.

Ace designer Nisha Sagar presented a classic cocktail line in sensual nudes like sand,beige,cream and mocha in shimmer Georgette and light Chiffon.Her modern take on Churidar -Kurti were further dazzled with crystal and sequin embellishment.

Carrying forward the heritage mood,was designer C Singh, whose collection celebrated the Big Fat NRI wedding.The Bright and Vibrant range of silhouettes were splashed with bold Indian Prints and intricate spangle embroidery.Shraddha Vora's ode to Opulent Regalia was a perfect Punctuation for closing the Grandeur of Traditional India.Motley of Fabrics were marinated in vibrant tie and dye and further crafted into exclusive ethnic ensembles.

Designer Aniket Satam, showcased two quirky looks,which was a fun and fresh take on zestful Youngistan.Inspired by Convent uniforms and structured 60s,his fall line celebrated modern simplicity and sharp contrasting to this,his show ended with a Gypsy Kutch Cool resort wear.Yellow Jeans by Kapil Jain experimented with the staple Denim and Transformed them into Ultra chic and Girly outfits.Every denim look had a unique treatment done with impeccable detailing and finesse.

Stall only designers featured Basavraj 's bouquet of delicate tulle dresses in confectionery palette of ivory,peach,nude,Lilac and pink.Each outfit had floral explosion,crafted with couture precision with minute atelier detailing.Talking about details,to finish a look,one requires a perfect accessory and this need in the pavilion was curated by Felix Bendish.Known for his Innovative Flamboyant fashion bibs,Bendish marveled this season with his new signature - Lizard Brooches and cocktail clutches.His experimental embellishment techniques has re-written the Indian craftsmanship into a Modern Universal realm of design aesthetics.
