How will you bring out your inner Gatsby girl?

Whether or not you liked the new movie, you still have to love the style!

Will it be with a well-placed scarf, a low-waisted dress, long string of pearls, a playful hat? Will you rouge your knees and bob your hair, put kohl around your lids like Louise Brooks? The roaring '20s are filled with inspiration and the style is all about rebellious energy and fun! Get your Gatsby on today! (Look for more inspiration here soon!)

Custom-tailored J. Hilburn featured at Heart of the Gourmet event

Stylist Leeza Hanson shows off lookbook
On May 14, the custom-tailored line of J. Hilburn was featured at Heart of the Gourmet in Pompano Beach, FL during a special event called Sip, Savor & Style. While some guests looked at the styles, others tried fruit and other food items dipped in oils and balsamics available at the locale. Courtenay Jeffers, of Wines for Humanity, featured a few bottles of wine to sample. A portion of sales went to Pantry of Broward that evening.

The J. Hilburn line is a company out of Dallas that allows guests to get a look that is made to fit, whether they are on-the-go or in the office. Every cut is done just so to ensure the most comfortable fit using the "highest quality products" from Europe. The sports coats are even lined and can be in a contrasting pattern to add extra pop. Clothing is tailored using 10 unique measures... a tweak here and there and the product is perfect for the client. Once a customer orders and is measured, their measurements are saved on-line so making another purchase is simple and easy.

The best part about the line is the price point. Stylist Leeza Hanson noted that a jacket at a well-known designer store might be $1500, but the same style will be available with J. Hilburn at $495, for example.

"We measure twice and cut once. These are not done on an assembly line. You are paying a better price and getting more quality," she said.

Hanson comes straight to see the client to ensure everything is measured precisely and the client is "100 percent satisfied." Suits are steamed before they are delivered. She has worked with everyone from the graduate who needs a nice suit to the philanthropist looking for a tuxedo.

What's hot in men's trends? "Purple and lavender," said Hanson. "Men like to mix and match and make style more casual. They can match professional with social [so they can easily switch from work wear to play wear]."
