CFDA will award"fashion legend" Ralph Lauren

NEWSFLASH: The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA)will bestow its first-ever title of "Fashion Legend" to Ralph Lauren at its 25th annual awards ceremony in June. This will mark Lauren's 40th year in the fashion industry.

Born in the Bronx as a son of jewish immigrants, a young Lauren dreamed of a world he had never seen--filled with fashion, class and country club style, a dream he would help to create in later years. He lived in the same neighborhood as a younger contemporary, Calvin Klein.

Lauren's telltale polo logo is now customizable. Go on the Lauren Web site (www.polo.com) and pick your favorite color shirt, the polo emblem or other monogram of your choosing in a different color, plug in your size and customize your own Polo creation! It's fun and easy and a great way to be a part of the world of this fashion legend!
